Pricing; cost-effective trade mark registration
At Trade Mark Associates, we ensure that all our services are delivered at a reasonable price, and with no hidden costs. All advice is provided by qualified trade mark attorneys and is always fair and given in the interests of the client. There are two main parts to the price: the relevant government fee and the fee that Trade Mark Associates charges to file your registration (+VAT). The government fee varies depending on the countries and /or territories in which the trade mark is to be registered and the number of product classes required. Our fees for trade mark applications are amongst the lowest on the market. They are set at £225.00, £375.00 and £225.00 for UK, EU and Irish trade mark registration respectively, no matter how many classes the trade mark is to be registered in. Its worth noting that TMA has no incentive to encourage increasing the number of classes. Examples of how this fee structure works are provided below.
Please note that the prices quoted assume that your application is not opposed and that the brand you are applying for is distinctive, and not generic or descriptive. If your application requires further time to be spent on it, we will advise you of this fact and, if you wish to proceed further we can agree a fixed price to deal with the issue.
Trade Mark Associates attorneys are qualified in the UK and Ireland, and this enables them to file trade mark applications throughout Europe. The EU registration is based in the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO). EUIPO fees are in euros, so the cost varies with the £/euro exchange rate. The Trade Mark Associates fee for undertaking a trade mark filing on your behalf, is in British pounds. We present the figures this way in order to be as precise and clear as possible, please call us if you need further information on this pricing or have other queries.

Prices for registering trade marks in countries outside Europe
For trade mark applications outside Europe we use a number of associate trade mark attorneys based in differing territories all over the world. As a result, prices vary according to the countries you may be interested in. Trade Mark Renewals
We also undertake trade mark renewals; the Trade Mark Associates fee is as above, but reduced by £50.00. For renewals the official fee (e.g. the UKIPO or the EUIPO fee) is the same as the official fee for registration listed above. For example, a UK trade mark renewal in two classes would carry a Trade Mark Associates fee for the renewal of £175.00, and an official fee of £220.00, totalling £395.00 (plus VAT).
